Van Build

Designing and building a van within a short timeframe was one of the biggest challenges of 2024. We used multiple tools to help streamline the process. One of our issues was that, when buying materials and equipment for our build, we were often disappointed with the quality of the items we bought. Ordering online certainly saved time and is a hassle-free method of ensuring you have everything you need, however, images on sites such as Amazon could often be misleading, and often it’s impossible to get a feel for the quality of a product before you’re holding it in your hand. For this reason, it can often be better to physically go to a shop, but during our build we regularly found ourselves scrolling through a variety of van converters blog pages, reading about their conversions and using their affiliate links to buy products. This way, you can be sure that the product has already been tried and tested before you purchase it, saving the time of having to return parts and the money that you can’t always get back.

This post will include some information about our build process, and several affiliate links to the products we used. If you find a product that you’d like to use in your own build, we’d hugely appreciate it if you used our links at no extra cost to yourself, because this small amount of money will go towards funding the new life we’re now living from the back of our self-built camper.
